It will take place at Signature\u2019s FBO\nlocation at Atlantic City Int\u2019l Airport in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey from\n11:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday, October 5, 2019. With more than 800 young women\nand their chaperones expected to attend, visitors will enjoy static displays,\nfly drones, participate in STEM and aviation exhibits, and meet and listen to a\ndiverse group of female speakers. Attendees serving in Girl Scouts of USA will\nalso have the opportunity to earn the new Girl Scout Aviation Girl Fun Patch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The GIAD Delaware Valley event committee, eager to expose\nmore girls to aviation career pathways, officially opened RSVPs on Monday,\nAugust 12. \u201cWe are one week into publicizing our event and currently see more\nthan 250 girls signed up,\u201d shared Dave Krause, committee co-chair and co-owner\nof Influential Drones, one of the event\u2019s veteran partners. \u201cSignature Flight\nSupport was quick to support our GIAD for a second year, and their fixed-based\noperation (FBO) at the Atlantic City Int\u2019l Airport (ACY) brings together a\nfantastic venue complete with hangar, ramp space and a private aircraft\nterminal, as well as the full support of the FBO staff and community\nvolunteers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSignature Flight Support is a strong advocate for investing\nin the development of the next generation of aviation professionals,\u201d explained\nStacy Suazo, General Manager of Signature ACY. \u201cWe are proud supporters of\nGirls in Aviation Day and its endeavor to make our industry accessible and\nwelcoming to women.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cToday we celebrate National Aviation Day. It\u2019s a perfect\ntime to highlight our partnership with Signature Flight Support, as their\ngenerosity allows us to offer this event free for girls and their parents,\nguardians, and chaperones,\u201d stated Lyndse Costabile, committee co-chair and\nveteran partner through FunD Av Consulting. \u201cAs volunteers and philanthropists,\nwe believe it is our duty to provide quality outreach events for our young\nwomen to find inspiration, grow their engagement, and explore their interests\nwith hands-on activities across aviation and STEM.
