Boeing signed a multiyear agreement with Tecnam to be the\nsole provider of aftermarket spare parts and distribution services for the P2012\nTraveller, Tecnam\u2019s first commuter airline aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boeing will assume distribution responsibilities, including\nforecasting, ordering and delivering all original equipment manufacturer (OEM)\ngenuine replacement parts for the P2012 Traveller through its Aviall\ndistribution network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to provide our industry leading\ndistribution services for this new aircraft,\u201d said William Ampofo, vice\npresident, Business & General Aviation, Boeing Global Services. \u201cOur global\nsupply chain and agile distribution systems will keep these planes in the air\nfor many years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The P2012 has completed European Aviation Safety Agency\n(EASA) certification and Federal Aviation Association (FAA) certification and\nis ready to be delivered to Tecnam\u2019s launch customer, Boston-based regional\nairline Cape Air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe P2012\u2019s innovative design is ideal for regional\nairlines and smart operators\u201d said Giovanni Pascale, Chief Operating Officer,\nTecnam. \u201cAligning with Boeing for parts and distribution services is a natural\nfit to provide worldwide customers with the support they need.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tecnam currently utilizes Boeing\u2019s navigation and charting\ndata through an existing agreement with Jeppesen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam was established in March\n1986 and now operates in three production facilities. The Casoria facility is\nlocated adjacent to Naples’ Capodichino Airport, while the main factory is next\nto the \u201cOreste Salomone\u201d Airport in Capua. Recently a new facility was\nestablished in Sebring, Florida, USA and in Australia to serve and support the\nneeds of Tecnam’s local owners and operators. www.tecnam.com. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
