This innovative partnership\nbetween the Division, FAA and Searidge Technologies is developing the world\u2019s\nfirst remote air traffic control tower solution that will combine visual\/camera\ninformation and radar\/track based data to provide airport air traffic services\nat a fraction of the cost of developing, constructing and maintaining a\ntraditional control tower facility.&nbsp; Dr.\nJohn Eagerton, Director of the Alabama DOT\u2019s Aeronautics Bureau, was joined by\nDr. Bill Hutto, Director of the Auburn University Airport and Aviation Center\nDirector at Auburn University, Todd Storey, Assistant Director, Auburn\nUniversity Airport and Aviation Center Director at Auburn University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The briefing and tour offered background into the project,\nfrank conversation about the project\u2019s challenges and opportunities, and a\nrobust discussion about how the technology might benefit Auburn University\u2019s\nAviation Program and the Auburn Airport.&nbsp;\nDavid Ulane, Colorado Aeronautics Director and Dr. Eagerton also enjoyed\na wide-ranging discussion about a variety of National Association of State\nAviation (NASAO) topics, issues and other national aviation matters.&nbsp;
