Lawson as Vice President\u2014Operations, Quality &amp;\nEnvironment, Health and Safety (EHS). Lawson<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In his new role, Mr. Lawson will provide leadership and\nstrategic direction for the Cadence Quality Management System, EHS initiatives\nand continuous improvement activities while ensuring integration and\ncommunication across business functions including manufacturing, operations,\nengineering, sales, and the supply chain. As part of his responsibilities, he\nalso will continue to provide support to the Cadence Tell Tool facility in\nWestfield, Massachusetts as Operations Manager, a position he originally began\nin a contractor capacity. Mr. Lawson reports to Dennis Orzel, Chief Operating\nOfficer of Cadence Aerospace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTony is a demonstrated leader with a strategic and tactical\napproach to problem solving, cost reduction and process improvement, and I am\ndelighted to welcome him to the Cadence team in a new role,\u201d said Thomas C.\nHutton, Chief Executive Office of Cadence Aerospace. \u201cAs our Company grows and\nbecomes stronger with new leaders working together to oversee different areas\nof our business and disciplines across the globe, our overall performance as a\nprovider of highly complex aerospace components and assemblies to commercial\nand defense customers will continuously improve. We look forward to Tony\u2019s\ncontributions as a seasoned multi-site and program manager with expert\ncompetencies in 6S implementation, strategic planning and team development.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Lawson\u2019s motivational management style and keen\nanalytical skills have enabled him to successfully exceed general business\ndevelopment targets throughout his more than 30-year career in the\nmanufacturing industry, especially in managing areas including Profit &amp;\nLoss, Mergers and Acquisitions, ERP implementation and Lean Manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to joining Cadence Aerospace, he served Hitco Carbon\nComposites, Inc., a premier Tier II composite aerostructure company, as both\nVice President and later, President of Operations. From 2003-2013, Mr. Lawson\nwas responsible for providing the company leadership for a military, space and\ncommercial aerostructures business unit reporting $120 million in annual sales.\nBefore his tenure at Hitco, he was General Manager, Test Equipment Division at\nEverett Charles Technologies, where he oversaw a capital equipment\nmanufacturing business unit, reduced material cost through effective change\nmanagement and purchasing process revisions, and improved customer\nsatisfaction. Earlier, Mr. Lawson held the positions of Vice President,\nOperations and Vice President, General Manager at Burke Industries, a\nmanufacturer of resilient-based products including rubber flooring tiles, wall\nbase, treads, and accessories. While there, he managed an annual budget of $11\nmillion and 250 employees in the production of silicone-based seals for\nmilitary and commercial aircraft. He also successfully increased operations efficiency,\nimproved product quality and delivery performance, and implemented both Lean\nManufacturing and a new Enterprise Resource Planning system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For a 12-year period spanning 1985-1997, Mr. Lawson held a\nnumber of positions at Northrop Grumman Corporation, a leading global security\ncompany providing innovative systems, products and solutions in autonomous\nsystems, cyber, C4ISR, space, strike, and logistics and modernization to\ncustomers worldwide. In his most senior role with the company, he was Vice President\/B-2\nDeputy Program Manager, directing all program activities and organizational\ndisciplines across an employee base of 6,000. Prior to that, Mr. Lawson served\nother parts of Northrop Grumman, successfully directing manufacturing\noperations, improving on-time delivery and productivity, and reducing costs. He\nbegan his career at Rockwell International, a diversified American corporation\nthat formerly was one of the country\u2019s leading aerospace contractors, making\nlaunch vehicles and spacecraft for the U.S. space program. In the early 1980s,\nMr. Lawson served the company as both Supervisor, Quality Assurance and\nSupervisor, Quality and Reliability Assurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He holds a Master of Science in Business Organizational\nManagement from the University of La Verne in La Verne, California as well as a\nBachelor of Science in Public Administration from the University of Arizona in\nTucson.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cadence Aerospace announced recently the appointment of Anthony (Tony) E.
