This position will report to and assist the Deputy Director as assigned in the performance of planning and programming airport improvement projects that will be funded with federal and state funds; work directly with airport sponsors to meet the Federal Aviation Administration\u2019s standards, policies, and procedures; and administer various aviation programs.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> TYPICAL FUNCTIONS:<br> Working directly with airport sponsors, FAA, and Commission staff, the selected person will solicit, collect, update, and distribute airport planning and programming information including, but not limited to: NPIAS needs lists, Airport 5 year CIP\u2019s, and project development information.<br> \u2022 Conduct 5010-1 Airport Master Record updates and Safety and Standards inspections for public use airports in Oklahoma<br> \u2022 Administer the Commission\u2019s Internship Program<br> \u2022 Assist in the development of the Commission\u2019s Airport Construction Program<br> \u2022 Conduct obstruction evaluations and prepare related permitting documents in accordance with the Aircraft Pilot and Passenger Protection Act<br> \u2022 Conduct Airport Pavement Inspections to include visual identification of pavement distresses and inputting this data into the Commission\u2019s GIS based pavement management system<br> \u2022 Conduct a regular review of the functional classification, based aircraft, and IFR traffic for airports in the Oklahoma Airport System Plan<br> \u2022 Coordinate environmental inventory for NPIAS airports<br> \u2022 Coordinate the production of Aeronautical Charts and the Airport Directory for Oklahoma<br> \u2022 Assist airport sponsors with the development of their primary guiding documents<br> \u2022 Assist with the Commission\u2019s UAS related activities<br> \u2022 Any other task the Director of the Aeronautics Commission requests<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:<br> \u2022 Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office<br> \u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills<br> \u2022 Basic knowledge of airport operations and management<br> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<br> The Aviation Program Manager II position requires a Bachelor\u2019s degree, preferably in aviation, planning, GIS, or a related field, and two years of relevant aviation work experience.<br> Pay range for Aviation Program Manager II is $50,000 to $57,973<br> If unable to fill this position as an Aviation Program Manager II, consideration may be made to fill it as an Aviation Program Manager I. An Aviation Program Manager I position requires a Bachelor\u2019s degree in aviation, planning, GIS, or a related aviation field.<br> Pay range for Aviation Program Manager I is $43,000 to $48,000<br> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<br> \u2022 Previous job-related experience or internship within the airport industry.<br> \u2022 Ability to interact with a range of professional individuals including consultants, local elected officials, airport managers, pilots, and the general public with respect and professionalism.<br> \u2022 FAA private pilot\u2019s license.<br> \u2022 Knowledge of the UAS industry and regulations concerning the operation of UAS.<br> \u2022 General knowledge of FAA regulations, orders, advisory circulars, and airport design standards.<br> \u2022 Ability to use GIS platforms such as ArcGIS.<br> \u2022 Ability to establish priorities, work independently or with a team, and proceed to complete objectives with minimal to no supervision.<br> \u2022 In-depth knowledge of the airport environment.<br> \u2022 Ability to create and conduct oral presentations.<br> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:<br> \u2022 Cover letter \u2013 detailing how your experience and\/or education meet the qualifications and preferences listed<br> \u2022 Resume<br> \u2022 Three professional references<br> \u2022 Copy of college transcript<br> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A full job description can be found on OAC\u2019s website <a href=\"http:\/\/OAC.ok.gov\">OAC.ok.gov<\/a> under job opportunities.
