The funds will\nbe used for planned airport enhancements including the engineering and designs\nfor pavement improvements. A project consultant will be selected this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; The project is\nbeing funded through the city of Denver City, Yoakum County and the Texas\nDepartment of Transportation\u2019s (TxDOT) Aviation Facilities Grant Program, which\npreserves and improves the state\u2019s general aviation system, including the\nDenver City Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; This year, TxDOT\nexpects to provide approximately $60 million in funding for planning,\nconstructing and maintaining community airports.
