He\nfirst served as CFO of Airbus Helicopters Inc., out of Grand Prairie, Texas,\nbeginning in 2008. He became Airbus Helicopters Inc.\u2019s Chief Operating Officer\nin 2016, and has also been President of Airbus Helicopters Canada since 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRomain brings a keen understanding of the North American\nhelicopter market, and I could not think of anyone better suited to take on\nthis role than someone who has led such a diverse range of our U.S. and\nCanadian activities for so long,\u201d said Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters.\n\u201cI am confident he will continue to support our customers and grow our business\nin the world\u2019s largest in-service helicopter market.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAirbus is the leading provider of helicopters in this\nregion, with more than 70% commercial market share and a large \u2013 and growing \u2013\ncustomer base,\u201d said Jeff Knittel, CEO of Airbus Americas. \u201cRomain will carry\non the exemplary customer experience that our clients have come to expect, and\nwe look forward to supporting him as he continues to elevate our brand in North\nAmerica.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trapp began his Airbus career in 1999 and has held various\npositions in finance, program management and general management throughout\nGermany, France, Canada and the U.S. He is a graduate of the Ecole Normale\nSup\u00e9rieure in France and the Stanford Executive Program in the United States.\nHe is married and has two grown sons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am proud to work with the highly skilled men and women\nwho build and support Airbus helicopters here in North America, and honored by\nthe confidence the Airbus leadership has in me to lead this team,\u201d Trapp said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Airbus announced today that Romain Trapp has been appointed President of Airbus Helicopters Inc., and Head of the North America Region for helicopters.
