{"id":13147,"date":"2019-06-19T19:31:41","date_gmt":"2019-06-19T19:31:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=13147"},"modified":"2019-06-19T19:37:30","modified_gmt":"2019-06-19T19:37:30","slug":"cubcrafters-opens-new-completion-center-at-mcallister-field","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/washington\/cubcrafters-opens-new-completion-center-at-mcallister-field\/%20","title":{"rendered":"CubCrafters Opens New Completion Center at McAllister Field"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>CubCrafters has opened a new dedicated Customer Completion Center\nin order to accommodate growing demand for the company\u2019s line of Light Sport,\nExperimental, and FAA Certified backcountry aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With plans to manufacture over 100 new airframes in 2019\nalone, the company has continued to deliver on its commitment to ramp-up production.\nCubCrafters\u2019 growth has been on a continuous upward trend since the\nintroduction of the original Light Sport Carbon Cub in 2009, which was further\nfueled by the introduction of the FAA certified XCub in 2016. More recently,\nthe company\u2019s Factory eXperimental (FX) builder assistance program has surged\nin popularity. This is the innovative program that allows customers to complete\ntheir own Experimental Amateur Built aircraft at the CubCrafters factory, including\nthe best-selling 3rd generation of the Carbon Cub, the high performance FX-3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new facility provides the additional space and personnel\nneeded to expand final assembly and pre-delivery operations across all product\nlines. \u201cOur new Customer Completion Center adds over 11,000 sq. ft. of operational\nspace, but the real focus here is not just manufacturing more airplanes, this\nnew building is dedicated to producing better airplanes\u201d explains Patrick\nHorgan, CubCrafters\u2019 president. \u201dWe\u2019re making an investment to make sure the\nairplanes that we deliver to our customers meet the highest possible safety,\nquality, and fit &amp; finish standards.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Located on the south ramp at McAllister Field (KYKM) in\nYakima, WA, the new facility is already up and running.
