{"id":13109,"date":"2019-06-17T13:03:36","date_gmt":"2019-06-17T13:03:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=13109"},"modified":"2019-06-19T19:39:10","modified_gmt":"2019-06-19T19:39:10","slug":"daher-announces-acquisition-of-quest-aircraft-company","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/idaho\/daher-announces-acquisition-of-quest-aircraft-company\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Daher Announces Acquisition of Quest Aircraft Company"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Daher \u2013 the producer of TBM aircraft, is taking a major step\nin developing the company&#8217;s airplane manufacturing business with the planned\nacquisition of Quest Aircraft Company, based in Sandpoint, Idaho, USA, which\nbuilds the Kodiak 100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this acquisition, Daher strengthens two of its\nstrategic pillars by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Reinforcing its aircraft manufacturing business\nand consolidating the company&#8217;s leading position in the turboprop segment by\nwidening the product family<\/li><li>Achieving a major milestone in the growth of its\nNorth American industrial and services operations.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kodiak 100 is a 10-seat, unpressurized, entry-level\naircraft in the single-engine turboprop category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Originally created for humanitarian missions in developing\ncountries, the Kodiak 100 is an agile and robust aircraft, capable of operating\non uneven and ultra-short runways, while offering optimal safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Certified in 67 countries, the Kodiak 100 is used worldwide\nby air-taxi, recreational and leisure operators, along with businesses,\npilot-owners and humanitarian organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kodiak 100 will be exhibited by Daher at the Paris Air\nShow (June 17-23), Static display area: Location B4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Daher strengthens its aircraft manufacturing business with an industrial location in North America<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this major acquisition, Daher is enhancing its\npresence in the general and business aviation segment by offering a wider\nmulti-product range. Already well known for its TBM 910 and TBM 940 very fast\nturboprop aircraft, Daher&#8217;s airplane portfolio has now expanded to include the\nKodiak 100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/TBM910-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13112\" width=\"293\" height=\"167\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/TBM910-1.jpg 530w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/TBM910-1-300x171.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 293px) 100vw, 293px\" \/><figcaption><em>TBM 910<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>With more than 270 Kodiak aircraft in operation, this\nall-terrain multi-mission aircraft is used worldwide by air-taxi, recreational\nand leisure operators, along with businesses, pilot-owners and humanitarian\norganizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The Quest Aircraft Company&#8217;s acquisition represents an\nadditional step in our development in the United States and an overall\nstrengthening of our aircraft manufacturing business,&#8221; said Daher CEO\nDidier Kayat. &#8220;In addition to making Daher the world&#8217;s seventh largest\naircraft manufacturer in business aviation, it provides us with our first\nindustrial site in the United States, thereby reinforcing Daher&#8217;s position as a\nTier-1 aerospace equipment and systems manufacturer, as well as a logistics and\nservices provider. This key acquisition for Daher is perfectly aligned with the\nstrategy of intensifying our company&#8217;s links with the North American market&#8217;s\nleading aerospace players.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to its development and purchasing synergies, the\nQuest Aircraft Company&#8217;s acquisition offers excellent commercial, technological\nand geographical complementarities.
