PrecisionHawk CEO Michael Chasen made the announcement during his\nkeynote presentation at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) UAS\nSymposium, an annual gathering that brings together government agencies, industry\nand academia to discuss the growing use of UAS and its integration into the\nnational airspace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCongressman LoBiondo has been an incredible thought leader\nand champion for the commercial drone industry and was the driver behind key\nlegislative provisions to safely integrate UAS,\u201d said Diana Cooper, Senior Vice\nPresident of Policy and Strategy at PrecisionHawk. \u201cI have had the honor of\ncollaborating with Congressman LoBiondo over the past several years. I am excited to work alongside PrecisionHawk to ensure a positive\nfuture for unmanned aircraft systems,\u201d said Frank LoBiondo, former U.S.\nRepresentative and current CEO of LoBo Strategies LLC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Congress, Frank LoBiondo was a senior member of the House\nTransportation &amp; Infrastructure Committee for more than two decades and\nserved as Chairman of the House Aviation Subcommittee from 2013-2019. He was a\nvocal proponent of integrating UAS technology for commercial applications into\nthe National Airspace System, authoring key provisions in the 2012 FAA\nModernization &amp; Reform Act that mandated the FAA to establish six test sites\nacross the country for research, development and testing. During his final year\nof public service, he shepherded the five-year FAA Reauthorization Act through\nCongress which included key provisions critical to harnessing and expanding\ncommercial growth of UAS across the country. He was a co-chair of the\nCongressional Unmanned Systems Caucus and represented New Jersey\u2019s 2nd\nCongressional district, home to the FAA&#8217;s premier R&amp;D facility &#8211; the\nWilliam J. Hughes FAA Technical Center.
