{"id":12997,"date":"2019-06-04T14:53:50","date_gmt":"2019-06-04T14:53:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=12997"},"modified":"2019-06-04T14:53:52","modified_gmt":"2019-06-04T14:53:52","slug":"extensive-enhancements-made-to-homebuilts-area-ahead-of-airventure-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/wisconsin\/extensive-enhancements-made-to-homebuilts-area-ahead-of-airventure-2019\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Extensive Enhancements Made to Homebuilts Area Ahead of AirVenture 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The introduction of a new, more centrally located exhibitor\narea, a new Homebuilts in Review area, and additional homebuilt parking\nhighlight some of the significant enhancements made to the Homebuilts area\nahead of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Formerly known as the North Aircraft Display, the renamed\nHomebuilt Aircraft Display is now located directly east of the forums\nbuildings, in the space that used to be occupied by the Federal Pavilion. This\nspace will be home to kit manufacturers and related companies exhibiting some\nof the best and newest in homebuilding offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just north of the Homebuilt Aircraft Display area is the new\nHomebuilts in Review area. As part of the extensive changes to the grounds,\nEide Road has been straightened so it will function as a thoroughfare through\nthe entire Homebuilts area. Additionally, the space formerly used for vendor\nexhibition has been converted to serve as additional homebuilt parking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sebastien Heintz, president and CEO of Zenith Aircraft\nCompany, said the changes made will help make the entire homebuilding area more\nvisible to AirVenture attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;To me, the big advantage of the revamped Homebuilts\narea is that it formalizes and consolidates homebuilt aircraft in one specified\narea, which makes it easier for visitors to find,&#8221; Sebastien said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EAA Director of Chapters and Homebuilts Charlie Becker said\nthe changes are designed to create a cohesive campus in the Homebuilts area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;By shifting the kit manufacturer and vendor area south\nwe\u2019ve created a hub for homebuilt and tied together forums, vendors, Homebuilts\nin Review, and all of the other homebuilt aspects at Oshkosh,&#8221; Charlie\nsaid. &#8220;These impactful changes to the grounds will improve the experience\nfor everybody in the Homebuilts area, including add aircraft parking.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The introduction of a new, more centrally located exhibitor area, a new Homebuilts in Review area, and additional homebuilt parking highlight some of the significant enhancements made to the Homebuilts area ahead of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019.
