Alsim has announced its partnership with the first female\nRed Bull Air Race winner and French aerobatics champion M\u00e9lanie Astles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alsim believes they can help in Ms. Astles training to win\nthose few extra seconds required to stand out in this highly skilled, competitive\nsport. Together they will develop a full-size replica of her aircraft, the\nRedbull Edge 540, also known as the Formula 1 of the skies. This exclusive\nsimulator will be composed of a single-seat cockpit equipped with central\nflight stick, rudder and throttles as per the aircraft configuration. All\nprimary flight controls will have an active control loading system providing Ms.\nAstles with the same \u201ccues\u201d as her flying machine. Instruments and cockpit\nlayout will also be accurately represented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alsim will also design a specific aerodynamic and\nperformance model in partnership with Ms. Astles, to offer maximum fidelity and\nprovide her with an extremely efficient, competitive, training device. The\nvisual system will be based on Alsim’s seamless cylindrical screen with a 210\u00c2\u00b0\nx 60\u00c2\u00b0 field of view to deliver the best immersion required for extremely fast\nrides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All race tracks will be fully replicated in the visual\nsystem with pylons, terrain elevation, buildings and the surrounding areas, and\naccording to Alsim, the simulator will provide real and post-time flight data\nallowing M\u00e9lanie\u2019s team to analyze her performance, help improve her skills,\nand ultimately master the circuit before each race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
