{"id":12839,"date":"2019-05-17T17:18:30","date_gmt":"2019-05-17T17:18:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=12839"},"modified":"2019-05-17T17:18:32","modified_gmt":"2019-05-17T17:18:32","slug":"gama-welcomes-two-companies-to-associate-membership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/international-news\/gama-welcomes-two-companies-to-associate-membership\/%20","title":{"rendered":"GAMA Welcomes Two Companies to Associate Membership"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA)\ntoday announced the addition of two companies as associate members: AutoFlightX\nGmbH and Vertical Aerospace Ltd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AutoFlightX is dedicated to the development, production,\nsales and operation of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicles.\nStarted in February 2018, the company\u2019s eVTOLs combine the benefits of\nhelicopters with those of conventional aircraft, and can be used as regularly\npiloted sports aircraft, as unmanned highly automated cargo drones, and as\nunpiloted highly automated air taxis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded by Stephen Fitzpatrick, CEO of OVO Energy,\nVertical Aerospace is building technology to revolutionise how people fly, by\nmaking air travel personal, on-demand and carbon-free.
