All nominees are awarded student membership in\nthe greatest pilot\/musician network in the world, and each of us is ready to\nassist them in their future musical and aeronautical endeavors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Lutte.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12795\" width=\"182\" height=\"195\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Lutte.jpg 400w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Lutte-280x300.jpg 280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 182px) 100vw, 182px\" \/><figcaption><em>Scott Lutte<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>FMA is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2019; the FMA\nSolo Scholarship Program is celebrating its fifth. Zapp added, &#8220;With three\nscholarships this year, the Flying Musicians&nbsp;\nare now averaging more than two per year, thanks to our sponsors,\ndonors, and members\u2019 donating their time and talents; and through hosting FMA\u2019s\npopular HangarJAMs and music for corporations at events across the\ncountry.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s three recipients join six previous Solo\nScholarship winners, who have already soloed, with several proudly earning\ntheir Private Pilot certificates; two recent awardees are nearing solo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/pottumutu_solo19_1200.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12796\" width=\"196\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/pottumutu_solo19_1200.jpg 400w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/pottumutu_solo19_1200-300x276.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 196px) 100vw, 196px\" \/><figcaption><em>Navya Pottumutu<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Visit www.FMAsolo.org, to congratulate these students, add\nyour words of encouragement and wisdom, and to follow Amaya, Scott, and Navya\nas they blog about their journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The 2020 FMA Solo program kicks off in the fall.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This scholarship is unique, bringing an aspiring music\nstudent from zero time to solo. FMA covers roughly fifteen hours of dual\ninstruction, online ground school, training materials, and additional products\nfrom sponsors. FMA envisioned and instituted this scholarship program because\nit recognizes the parallel skills involved in flying and performing music and\nwants to promote both areas of growth in our inspired and dedicated future\nleaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How many Solo Scholarships FMA can award is up to the\naviation and music communities &#8212; and you!
