EAA hosts the annual EAA AirVenture Oshkosh&nbsp; fly-in at Wittman Regional Airport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two students will work at Daher Aerospace\u2019s Tarbes\nfacility in southwestern France during five weeks in June and July. Also\nincluded is a tour of the Airbus production facility at Toulouse, France, as\nwell as attendance at the Paris Air Show, followed by their participation with\nthe Daher team in the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh event.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Benjamin-Van-Handeledit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12777\" width=\"321\" height=\"215\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Benjamin-Van-Handeledit.jpg 500w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Benjamin-Van-Handeledit-300x201.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 321px) 100vw, 321px\" \/><figcaption><em>Benjamin Van Handel<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The internship covers the students\u2019 costs, and puts the\nfocus on work experience as well as a deeper understanding of the aviation\nindustry\u2019s career opportunities.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis opportunity is a one-of-a-kind experience for the\ninternship recipients,\u201d said Nicolas Chabbert, Senior Vice President of Daher\nAirplane Business Unit and CEO of Daher Aircraft Inc. \u201cSpending time with our\nteam in France will enable them to gain expertise in their aviation industry\nfields of interest. We hope the experience will make a difference in their\nfuture careers, while also benefitting our company by working with the\nnext-generation of aviation industry decision-makers.\u201d&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paulson is a student at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh,\nstudying business management and economics. Thanks to the introductory flight\nprovided by the EAA Young Eagles program, he was inspired to earn his&nbsp; FAA multi-engine private pilot license,\nwhile&nbsp; also a volunteer for EAA\nAirVenture Oshkosh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Van Handel studied at Saint Norbert College in De Pere,\nWisconsin, and already is familiar with the international environment having\nspent a semester abroad at Bond University in Australia for studies leading to\na bachelor\u2019s degree in business administration. He holds a single-engine\nprivate pilot\u2019s license, having earned the rating through a Phillips 66\nAviation Scholarship.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dave Chaimson, EAA\u2019s Vice President of Marketing and\nBusiness Development, recognized Daher\u2019s commitment to the annual internship\nopportunity for former Young Eagles , noting that \u201cNothing is more important\nthan first-hand aviation industry experience to help students explore future\ncareer opportunities. With industry exposure and cultural exchange, the impact\non these former Young Eagles\u2019 lives is tremendous.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The EAA Young Eagles program inspires young people age 8-17\nto explore through flight through an introductory flight experience provided by\nvolunteer EAA-member pilots.
