{"id":12728,"date":"2019-05-07T18:03:20","date_gmt":"2019-05-07T18:03:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=12728"},"modified":"2019-05-07T18:03:23","modified_gmt":"2019-05-07T18:03:23","slug":"saudi-arabia-seals-deal-for-sitaonairs-atc-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/international-news\/saudi-arabia-seals-deal-for-sitaonairs-atc-services\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Saudi Arabia Seals Deal for SITAONAIR\u2019s ATC Services"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS), the official body\nresponsible for air navigation services in Saudi Arabia, has formally selected\nSITAONAIR to elevate the Kingdom\u2019s air traffic management capabilities, through\nto 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SITAONAIR will deliver its country-wide, state-of-the-art\nVHF and Digital Automatic Terminal Information Service (D-ATIS) solutions for\nSaudi Air Navigation Services (SANS), benefiting all airlines flying in Saudi\nArabia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"176\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/unnamed-edit-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12730\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the agreement, SITAONAIR will establish additional VHF\nstations providing coverage in new locations, including the Empty Quarter\ndesert. It will also further optimize datalink coverage and services by\nupgrading both existing stations and SITAONAIR\u2019s AIRCOMcats D-ATIS gateway\nserver to better serve airports and airspace users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project will specifically aim to ensure coverage in the\nsoutheast and northwest of Saudi Arabia for en route traffic, increasing the\navailability of VHF\/VDL networks at all main airports in the Kingdom and\nbeyond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SANS CEO, Eng.
