<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ACT exhibited at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aviatorsrendezvous.com\/\">Aviators Rendezvous<\/a>, an event held at the Davidson County Airport in Lexington, NC, that features many unique aircraft landing and taking off all day long, including a special aviators pancake breakfast on Sunday morning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ACT team engaged hundreds of attendees throughout the\nday in how STEM brings out the best in aviation, and that the opportunities in aviation\nare endless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"457\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Don-at-exhibit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12722\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Don-at-exhibit.jpg 700w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Don-at-exhibit-300x196.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><figcaption><em>Don Koch with ACT display.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We were inspired with many of the attendees seeing the\nvalue in getting this generation ready for the future of aviation through STEM,&#8221;\nsaid Karen Allen, noting that requests for learning more about aviation, IoT\nand data were requested in the Greensboro, Charlotte and Raleigh areas. &#8220;As\nvolunteers with this ACT program, we want to inspire young minds with STEM and\nall the channels of opportunities they have in aviation and aerospace.\u201d Over\nthe next decade, Allen said there will be a greater need for pilots, air\ntraffic controllers and mechanics in the airline industry alone and they [ACT\nTeam], want to help make a difference in getting bright, young minds thinking\nabout the possibilities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ACT (Aviation Careers Technology) took flight recently on May 4-5, showcasing its STEM program that connects NextGen Technology, ADS-B and IoT to engage the next generation of aviators.&nbsp;
