In addition, 94 percent of the state\u2019s\npopulation is within 30 minutes of air ambulance operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are proud of the collaboration between our department\nand airport sponsors to increase safety, enhance economic development and\nsupport the transportation needs of Kansans,\u201d said Secretary of Transportation\nJulie Lorenz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The KAIP program requires airport sponsors to share in\nproject costs by paying a portion of the total project.
