It is vitally important that\npilots consult appropriate and current Federal Aviation Administration\naeronautical charts, publications and Notices to Airmen essential to flight\nsafety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each year, about 18 million passengers travel through\nMissouri\u2019s airports. Airports also allow Missouri residents and businesses to\nship and receive goods from all over the world. Aviation in Missouri employs\nover 100,000 individuals with an annual economic benefit of $11.1 billion.&nbsp; About 1.5 million takeoffs and landings are\nconducted annually at Missouri airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funding to produce the Missouri Aeronautical Chart comes\nfrom aviation fuel taxes through the State Aviation Trust Fund. It is available\nat no charge and is printed on synthetic paper, which increases durability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aeronautical charts are available at most local airports in\nMissouri, by contacting MoDOT\u2019s customer service center toll-free at\n1-888-ASK-MODOT (888-275-6636), via e-mail at aviation@modot.mo.gov or by\nwriting to MoDOT\u2019s Aviation Section, P.O.
