Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, members of the Phoenix City Council, and other local leaders gathered at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport recently to welcome American Airlines\u2019 first nonstop flight to Phoenix from London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new, year-round flight to London marks American\u2019s\nfirst-ever non-stop flight from Phoenix to Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American will use the Boeing 777-200ER for the flight. It\noffers 273 seats with three classes of service: Business Class; Premium\nEconomy; and Main Cabin Service. The daily flight leaves from London at 9:30\na.m., arriving in Phoenix at 12:30 p.m. \nThe Phoenix-London flight departs Phoenix at 3:10 p.m. and arrives in\nLondon at 9:25 a.m., making it convenient for both business and leisure\ntravelers to make connections elsewhere in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This flight brings the number of flights per week to London\nto 14. British Airways continues to offer its daily nonstop service from\nPhoenix, departing at 7:45 p.m. International flights provide a vital boost to\nArizona economy by bringing in about $3 billion each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
