Aircraft rides in the WWII TBM-3E \u2018Avenger\u2019 \u201cDoris\nMae,\u201d L-5 \u2018Sentinel\u2019 \u201cGayle Ann,\u201d and a PT-17 \u2018Stearman\u2019 is also available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rides can be purchased in advance by visiting:\nhttps:\/\/homecomingatcafcapitalwing.eventbrite.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A seat in the L-5 \u2018Sentinel\u2019 costs $49 and $99 in the PT-17,\nwhich both aircraft are limited to one rider at a time.&nbsp; The TBM \u2018Avenger\u2019 seats two riders at a time,\nin either the observer position or rear turret seat, at the cost of $695 per\nseat.&nbsp; For frequently asked questions\nregarding flight requirements, check-in times, cancellations and changes,\nplease visit the EventBright link or contact the Capital Wing Operations at\n(540) 402-1818.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Homecoming at the Capital Wing is just one in over 15 events\nthat the CAF Capital Wing will participate in this year.&nbsp; The mission of the Capital Wing is to honor\nthose who have served, educate the public, and inspire the next generation of\naviators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CAF was founded to acquire, restore and preserve in\nflying condition a complete collection of combat aircraft which were flown by\nall military services of the United States, and select aircraft of other\nnations, for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations of\nAmericans. More than just a collection of airworthy warplanes from the past,\nthe CAF&#8217;s fleet of historic aircraft, known as the CAF Ghost Squadron,\nrecreates, remind and reinforce the lessons learned from the defining moments\nin American military aviation history.
