This award is given by NYAMA to an individual who has\ndemonstrated exemplary leadership and effected positive change in the aviation\nindustry in New York State. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
NYAMA president Christina R. Callahan, deputy general manager\nat LaGuardia Airport, stated, \u201cIn an era of turbulent change throughout the\naviation community, Warren\u2019s steady leadership, strategic vision and sustained\naccomplishments made him the obvious choice for this award.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The award is named after former FAA Associate Administrator\nBill Shea who traveled from California to personally present the award to Mr.\nKroeppel during NYAMA\u2019s annual Aviation Advocacy Day held in Albany on March\n19th of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Kroeppel serves on the executive committee of Sheltair\nand is responsible for the daily operations, development of strategic growth\nplans and financial direction of the company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Kroeppel joined Sheltair in 2012 after a 35 year career\nin commercial aviation and airport management. \nHe has extensive expertise in aviation operations having served in many\ndifferent capacities during his management tenure at New York airports,\nincluding Deputy General Manager, John F. Kennedy International Airport and ten\nyears as General Manager of LaGuardia Airport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Warren served as the Chairperson for the Public Safety and\nSecurity Committee for Airports Council International\u2014North America, and is\nalso an FAA certified Commercial Pilot, instrument and multiengine rated and\nflight instructor. Warren holds an undergraduate degree in Aeronautical Science\nfrom Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a MBA in finance from Adelphi\nUniversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sheltair Aviation will shortly be cutting the ribbon on the\nfirst 3 hangars of a new $55 million complex of state-of-the-art hangars at\nRepublic Airport, (FRG), the busiest general aviation airport in the state,\nproviding 220,000 square feet of space to serve the latest generation of\ncorporate jets, underscoring the company\u2019s commitment to aviation\ninfrastructure. Sheltair\u2019s other New\nYork FBO airport locations include John F. Kennedy, LaGuardia, Long Island\nMacArthur, Westhampton Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
