Vaisala announced that they have signed a contract with the\nArgentine Air Navigation Service Provider (EANA), a state-owned company under\nArgentina\u2019s Ministry of Transport, for AviMet\u00ae Automated Weather Observing\nSystems (AWOS) including Runway Visual Range Systems to 31 airports across\nArgentina. The value of the contract is approximately EUR 15 million. The\ncontract also includes installations scheduled to be implemented over the next\ntwo years starting in the third quarter of 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vaisala AviMet\u00ae Automated Weather Observing System is an\nairport weather system that collects, processes, and visualizes meteorological\ndata in compliance with the International Civil Aviation Organization and World\nMeteorological Organization standards. AviMet helps air traffic controllers,\npilots, and other aviation personnel make critical decisions by providing\ncontinuous, real-time reports on airport weather conditions.
