Year-to-date, passenger traffic is up 7.3\npercent compared to last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The traffic leader in February was Southwest Airlines\nwith 195,690 passengers traveling to and from Fort Myers. Rounding out the top\nfive airlines were Delta (186,744), American (144,787), Spirit (139,907) and\nFrontier (119,081).&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Southwest Florida International Airport had 9,079\naircraft operations, a decrease of 1.2 percent compared to February 2018. Page\nField saw 9,003 operations, a 6.5 percent increase from February 2018. In\naddition, slightly more than 2.6 million pounds of air freight moved through\nSouthwest Florida International Airport in February 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Southwest Florida International Airport served nearly 9.4\nmillion passengers in 2018 and is one of the top 50 U.S. airports for passenger\ntraffic.
