The online portal for scholarship applications is available\nyear-round, but with specific dates for various types of aviation-related\nscholarships. Those include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00c2\u00b7 March 1-June\n1, 2019 \u2014 Flight training scholarships for those starting flight training\nbetween July 1 and Dec. 31, 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00c2\u00b7 Sept. 1-Nov.\n1, 2019 \u2014 Flight training scholarships for those starting flight training\nbetween Jan. 1 and June 30, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00c2\u00b7 Nov. 15,\n2019-Jan. 31, 2020 \u2014 Post-secondary scholarships<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe encourage individuals who are well-rounded, involved in\ntheir school or communities, and passionate about the world of aviation to\napply for the scholarships that best suit their future plans,\u201d said Rick\nLarsen, EAA\u2019s vice president of communities and member programs. \u201cAll\napplications are reviewed against the criteria for the individual grants and\nthen awarded to those who show the greatest potential to be actively engaged in\naviation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
EAA\u2019s scholarships are supported by dozens of donors,\nbenefactors, and others who \u201cpass it forward\u201d by endowing these programs. In\nall, EAA awards more than $1 million in aviation scholarship money via various\nprograms each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
