The passport program presents awards to pilots for flying to\nairports in the state as well as attending FAA Safety Seminars and visiting the\ntwo North Dakota Air Museums. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three pilots were presented with bronze awards for\nvisiting at least thirty airports and attending one safety seminar. These\npilots received a polo shirt embroidered with the North Dakota Flying Legacy\nlogo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bronze award recipients were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emily Gerhart Bismarck, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ray Brooks Bismarck, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jon Simmers Bismarck, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three pilots were presented with the silver award for\nvisiting at least sixty airports, one air museum and attending two safety\nseminars. These pilots received a flight bag embroidered with the North Dakota Flying\nLegacy logo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Silver award recipients were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deen Brecht Golden Valley , ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David Hochhalter Valley City, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keith Hugo Grand Forks, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most prestigious gold award level was achieved by\nfive pilots during 2018. These pilots received a leather flight jacket\nembroidered with the North Dakota Flying Legacy logo in addition to the bronze\nand silver awards. This prestigious accomplishment is achieved when visiting\nall 89 public use airports in North Dakota, visiting both air museums and attending\nat least 3 FAA Safety seminars. These five pilots join Fifty-Three others who\nhave completed the passport program in previous years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following is a list of the individuals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>James Busch Chicago, IL (formerly of Grand Forks, ND)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keney Krein Ellendale, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Terry Bryn Dazey, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gale Hansen Valley City, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kelly Braun Dickinson, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The awards presentation was conducted at the Bismarck\nCountry Club (Bismarck, ND), in conjunction with the Upper Midwest Aviation\nSymposium. Presenting the awards was Kyle Wanner, Director of the North Dakota\nAeronautics Commission.
