Rich brings over 30 years\nof airline industry leadership experience to this role, where he will oversee\nthe airline\u2019s operations and performance, and report directly to Mesa Air Group\nCEO Jonathan Ornstein. Rich will also will be heavily involved with commercial\ncontracts and major airline relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most recently, Rich served as United Airlines\u2019 Senior Vice\nPresident of United Express Operations, where he oversaw the carrier\u2019s\nrelationship with its regional partners, including Mesa. Prior to his role with\nUnited, Rich spent 27 years at SkyWest, Inc. where he played a key role in the\ncompany\u2019s growth, the development of flying contracts with several major\ncarriers, and lead negotiations for multiple large-scale acquisitions. During\nhis tenure at SkyWest, Rich spent 20 years as chief financial officer and three\nyears as president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBrad is a battle tested industry veteran, who will be a\ngreat addition to our executive team,\u201d said Jonathan Ornstein, Chairman and\nChief Executive Officer of Mesa Air Group. \u201cHis expertise is unparalleled, and\nhe will play a critical part in the company\u2019s focus on operational performance\nand growth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am very excited about returning to the regional industry,\nespecially with a well-positioned company like Mesa,\u201d Rich said. \u201cI am also\nlooking forward to joining the Mesa team and I\u2019m confident that by working\ntogether we can create a successful future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mesa Air Group wants to thank Mike Ferverda, who has been\nserving as COO in an interim capacity for the past year. Ferverda joined Mesa\nin 1990 as a first officer and has served in various capacities, becoming a key\nmember of Mesa\u2019s senior management team.
