Over the course of his military career, he flew more\nthan 100 combat sorties and logged more than 4,900 flight hours and 1,348\narrested landings on 15 different aircraft carriers. His combat awards include\nthe Silver Star and Distinguished Flying Cross with Combat \u201cV.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fox commanded U.S. Naval Forces Central Command\/U.S. 5th\nFleet, Carrier Strike Group 10 aboard USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), Carrier Air\nWing 2 aboard USS Constellation (CV 64) and Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 81\naboard USS Enterprise (CVN 65). His other command and executive leadership\nassignments included service as deputy chief of naval operations for\noperations, plans and strategy; commander, Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center;\nand deputy assistant to the President and director, White House Military\nOffice, where he was responsible for overseeing all military support to the\nPresident. He was the first commander of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 122, the\nNavy\u2019s first FA-18E\/F Super Hornet squadron. Most recently, he served as deputy\ncommander at U.S. Central Command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He joined HII in 2016 following his retirement from the Navy\nas a vice admiral.\n\nHuntington Ingalls Industries is America\u2019s\nlargest military shipbuilding company and a provider of professional services\nto partners in government and industry.
