The\ncompany also announced acceleration of production and delivery of the Vision\nJetTM \u2013 the world\u2019s first single-engine Personal JetTM \u2013 with 63 aircraft\ndelivered, resulting in nearly 100 Vision Jets currently in service around the\nworld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur annual performance at Cirrus Aircraft demonstrates our\nlong-term commitment to continued core growth, our disciplined approach to\nmaturing our turbine product line, the expansion of Cirrus Services and another\nyear that validates our customer-focused enterprise strategy,\u201d said Todd\nSimmons, President, Customer Experience at Cirrus Aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These annual results mark the fifth consecutive year that\nCirrus Aircraft has delivered more than 300 SR Series aircraft. Additionally,\nthe current trajectory of Vision Jet deliveries is setting the pace to make the\nCollier Award winning single-engine Personal Jet one of the best-selling\nturbine aircraft under $6 million USD. Enterprise growth also propelled\ncontinued facilities expansion and employee growth across all Cirrus locations\nincluding Duluth, Minnesota, Grand Forks, North Dakota and Knoxville,\nTennessee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simmons continued, \u201cWith this exceptional performance by the\nCirrus Aircraft team, we are well positioned for continued success in both\nexisting and emerging global aviation markets. On behalf of all Cirrus owners\nand operators around the world, these 2018 results again highlight our\ncommitment to reimagining the future of personal aviation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SR Series Continues to Soar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cirrus Aircraft\u2019s first high-performance SR Series airplane\n\u2013 the SR20 \u2013 was delivered in 1999 and transformed general aviation with\nintuitive avionics, game-changing performance and revolutionary safety systems,\nincluding the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System\u00ae (CAPS\u00ae). Today\u2019s SR Series\nportfolio includes the SR20, SR22 and the turbocharged SR22T. Last year, the company\ncelebrated the milestone of the delivery of its 7,000th SR Series aircraft and\nover 10.5 million flight hours in 60 countries around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, the company will celebrate 20 years of the SR\nSeries entering the high-performance single-engine piston market. Now in its\nsixth generation, the SR Series has been the best-selling general aviation\npiston aircraft in its class for seventeen consecutive years. The G6 SR Series\nlaunched in 2017 with the Cirrus Perspective+TM by Garmin\u00ae flight deck, which\nincludes expanded avionics and flight planning options, luxury\nautomobile-inspired Cirrus SpectraTM wingtip lighting, cockpit connectivity\nsolutions and premium interior options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this year, Cirrus Aircraft announced the addition of\nthe Arriv\u00e9e Special Edition SR Series inspired by \u201cThe Art of Arriving\u201d. This\nunique aircraft expands on the luxury automobile inspired details that define a\nCirrus aircraft interior with artisan handcrafted finishes and customization\ntypically only available through the company\u2019s unique Xi Design Studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A New Generation of the Vision Jet<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2016, Cirrus Aircraft ushered in a new era in personal\ntransportation with the FAA certification of the world\u2019s first single-engine\nPersonal Jet \u2013 the Vision Jet. The turbine aircraft defined a new category in\naviation \u2013 the Personal Jet \u2013 with its spacious pilot and passenger-friendly\ncabin featuring panoramic windows, reclining seats, comfortable legroom for\nfive adults and two children and the only turbine aircraft with a whole\nairframe parachute system as standard equipment. 2018 marked a new milestone in\nthe journey of the Vision Jet, with the historic win of the Robert J. Collier\nTrophy from the National Aeronautic Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last month, the company announced the launch of the next\ngeneration Vision Jet\u2013 \u201cG2\u201d \u2013 with enhanced performance, comfort and safety.\nEvolutionary features include increased cruise altitude, speed and range, along\nwith a newly-upgraded Perspective Touch+TM by Garmin\u00ae flight deck. Innovative\ntechnologies unique to G2 include a category-first Autothrottle, Flight Stream\nconnectivity and more. Amenities were also added to the passenger experience, including\nnew executive seats, thoughtfully-engineered noise reduction and a passenger\nproductivity console.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As production of the Vision Jet continues to accelerate, the\ncompany will also see the expansion into significant new markets in 2019, with\ndeliveries to customers in Brazil, South Africa and Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cirrus Services Established to Enhance Lifetime Aircraft\nOwnership<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch of Cirrus Services in 2018 signified another\nmilestone in Cirrus Aircraft\u2019s ongoing plans to redefine the personal aviation\nownership experience by providing world-class customer service for life. Cirrus\nServices recognizes the customer\u2019s needs before, during and after initial\naircraft delivery by combining Flight Training, Service and Support into a\nsingle, dedicated business unit. The newly formed group is focused on growing\ncapabilities and offerings at the company\u2019s expanding Vision Center Campus in\nKnoxville, Tennessee, as well as through a network of authorized service and\ntraining partners across the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Facilities and Economic Impact Expands Across All Three\nLocations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cirrus Aircraft facilities and employment expanded again in\n2018 at all three company locations, with growth at the company\u2019s Vision Center\nCampus in Knoxville, Tennessee continuing ahead of schedule. As the company\u2019s\nglobal customer experience center, the Vision Center Campus now includes a\nstate-of-the-art Flight Training center which features world-class FAA-approved\n\u2018part 142\u2019 type rating training for the Vision Jet and a custom Level D\nfull-motion simulator. The new building opened in July 2018 and Cirrus has\ncurrently issued nearly 200 Vision Jet type ratings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company also broke ground on a new Factory Service\nCenter at its Vision Center Campus in 2018. The increased service center\ncapacity adds an additional 17,500 square feet. The new Factory Service Center\nis scheduled to be operational in the first quarter of 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also highlighting continued growth over the last year was\nthe addition of technical, manufacturing and service positions across all\nlocations, as well as the expansion of the facility in Grand Forks, North\nDakota by nearly 30,000 square feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cirrus ApproachTM Continues Innovation and Leadership in\nPilot Training<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recognized in 2016 as the first recipient of the Joseph T.\nNall Safety Award from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA),\nCirrus Aircraft continues to transform pilot training and safety with Cirrus\nApproach. As a comprehensive program, Cirrus Approach provides ongoing training\nto new and experienced pilots with their lifestyle in mind through\naward-winning in-person and online training courses. Over the last year, the\ncompany has continued to innovate in pilot training, with the launch of the\nredesigned cirrusapproach.com and the addition of Flight Fix \u2013 a unique monthly\nvideo podcast to further support its mission of \u201ctraining as a lifestyle\u201d.\nNearly 16,000 pilots and owners have joined the program as of early 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cirrus EmbarkTM \u2013 the company\u2019s program designed for new\nowners of pre-owned Cirrus aircraft \u2013 also continues to expand, exceeding 700\ntraining events since its launch in 2017. This revolutionary program provides\nCirrus-specific, standardized differences and transition training for a\nlicensed pilot who purchased a pre-owned Cirrus Aircraft. Included in the\nprogram is access to the Cirrus Approach Learning Portal, a copy of the Cirrus\nFOM and aircraft POH, access to the iFOM and one-on-one Cirrus Transition Training\nwith an authorized Cirrus training provider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fleet and Special Mission Expands Around the Globe<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professional flight training organizations continue to grow\ntheir fleets with the technologically advanced, industry-leading SR Series\naircraft as they prepare the next generation of airline pilots. This year,\nJapan Civil Aviation College added an additional 20 SR22 aircraft to their\nexisting fleet. And just last month, Oklahoma State University announced the\naddition of SR20 to its Aviation Program fleet. Other world-renowned flight\ntraining academies using Cirrus aircraft include Emirates, Lufthansa, Southern\nUtah University and Vincennes University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Cirrus Perception\u2122 \u2013 the company\u2019s\nsensor-capable special mission aircraft \u2013 continues to enhance law enforcement\nsearch and rescue efforts. Ideal for a broad range of missions, the Minnesota\nState Patrol uses the Cirrus Perception aircraft, including during the big game\nhosted in Minneapolis in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More Red Bull Air Race Championships on the Horizon for\nCirrus-Sponsored Team 99<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the sixth consecutive year, Cirrus Aircraft will have an\ninternational presence in the Red Bull Air Race World Championships as a\nsponsor of Team 99 and U.S. Master Class Pilot, Mike Goulian. In 2018, Goulian\nset a record pace with an epic year of podium finishes, including 1st place in\nAbu Dhabi and Indianapolis and a 3rd place overall finish in 2018 world\nchampionship series. Goulian, a Cirrus Aircraft Ambassador, owner and pilot,\njoined Red Bull Air Race in 2006, claiming his first victory in Budapest in\n2009.
