The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) recently\nwelcomed Pamela Cooksey to the AOPA Aviation Finance team as an outside sales\nrepresentative, where she will be taking on the role of Senior Account\nExecutive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cooksey brings with her 30 years of experience and was\nnotably featured in American Banker Magazine in 1996, as one of only a few\nwomen leaders in the aviation finance industry. Her career began in 1989 at the\nCentral Trust Company in Canton, Ohio, where she focused on small piston\naircraft financing. In 1996, she joined forces with FirstMerit Bank in Akron,\nOhio, where she helped start the first Aircraft Department for the bank. In\nthat role, she was instrumental in growing and managing the bank\u2019s aircraft\nportfolio to more than $200 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before joining AOPA, Cooksey worked at Scope Aircraft\nFinance in Columbus, Ohio, where she specialized in financing high performance\naircraft, turboprops and light jets for owner pilots. Throughout her career,\nshe has built an impressive network of dealers, original equipment\nmanufacturers (OEMs), and clients, and will be an asset to the AOPA Aviation\nFinance Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cooksey will work from her home in Louisville, Ohio, where\nshe resides with her husband, Kim. They also have a son and two granddaughters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
