Eagle Flight Centre, Ypsilanti, MI has acquired two Frasca\nRTD\u2122 AATDs (Advanced Aviation Training Devices). The RTDs (Frasca’s new\nReconfigurable Training Devices) will be used by the Eastern Michigan\nUniversity Aviation program (EMU Aviation), who train their student pilots at\nEagle Flight Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two RTDs are configured as Cessna 172 aircraft with real\nGarmin G1000 NXi software. They are equipped with single channel visual systems\nand Frasca’s browser based instructor station with ipad\/iphone interface. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
EMU Aviation at Eagle Flight Centre is a repeat Frasca\ncustomer, having purchased their first Frasca simulator (a Model 141) in 1989.\nThey then purchased the first Frasca Mentor\u2122 AATD in 2006 and added the two\nRTDs this year. According to Eagle Flight Centre owner, Tom Trumbull, “The\nRTDs are up and running and they are a mirror image of our 172S aircraft with\nautopilot. We are impressed with the innovative features including the\nipad\/cell phone interface for the instructor station.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
