American\nAirlines previously announced last August that it will be offering nonstop\nservice from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to London Heathrow\nAirport beginning March 31 and running through October 26. Today, American\nAirlines has announced this service will be offered year-round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNew international air service helps Phoenix grow our\neconomy and global presence,\u201d said Phoenix Mayor Thelda Williams. \u201cI am excited\nthat American Airlines will be offering year-round, direct service from Phoenix\nto London. We look forward to continuing to grow our partnership with American\nAirlines.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The service, which is American\u2019s first-ever overseas\nintercontinental flight from Phoenix to London, will be served by a Boeing\n777-200ER. It will offer 273 seats with three classes of service: Business\nClass; Premium Economy; and Main Cabin service. American is the only domestic\ncarrier with nonstop service to Europe from Sky Harbor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For travelers, this provides another valuable connection\nbetween Phoenix and Europe for both business and leisure as well as a boost to\nthe economy. International flights to and from Phoenix bring in approximately\n$3 billion each year. In addition to American\u2019s service, British Airways\ncontinues to offer its daily nonstop service, departing from Phoenix at 7:45\np.m. The airlines\u2019 flights to London provide travelers with 14 flights per\nweek, and an easy connection to those wishing to travel beyond London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Extended service on Condor Airlines to Frankfurt from\nPhoenix also begins again in May and runs through October. From Phoenix Sky\nHarbor, travelers will find access to more than 100 domestic destinations and\n22 international destinations.
