Greensboro will again be the center of the drone world as\nthe N.C. Department of Transportation\u2019s NC Drone Summit and Flight Expo (NC\nDrone SAFE) returns to the Piedmont Triad this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The three-day summit will be held at the Grandover Resort\nand Conference Center in Greensboro from Aug. 11-13 and feature speakers,\nexhibitors and flight demonstrators from around the world that showcase the\npresent and future of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS, or drone) industry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
More than 400 people attended the first event in 2018, and\nthis year\u2019s summit aims to be even bigger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLast year\u2019s summit was a great launching point for\nconnecting the drone industry, business and government in our state,\u201d said\nBobby Walston, director of Aviation for the NCDOT. \u201cNow we are striving to take\nit to the next level, with more attendees, a wider range of speakers, topics\nand demonstrators, and enhancing the overall experience for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NCDOT\u2019s Division of Aviation UAS Program Office is hosting\nthe event to bring together key leaders from the research, commercial and\npublic safety UAS communities across North Carolina and the nation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
