{"id":11153,"date":"2018-10-29T15:37:24","date_gmt":"2018-10-29T15:37:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=11153"},"modified":"2018-10-29T15:37:58","modified_gmt":"2018-10-29T15:37:58","slug":"georgia-airports-association-presents-steve-brian-with-presidents-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/georgia\/georgia-airports-association-presents-steve-brian-with-presidents-award\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Georgia Airports Association Presents Steve Brian with President\u2019s Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Photo above &#8211; Steve Brian, left, receives the President&#8217;s Award from Kevin Britton.\u00c2\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Steve Brian, Manager of the State Aviation Program for the Georgia Department of Transportation, was presented the President\u2019s Award Last week during the Georgia Airports Association (GAA) Annual Conference and Exposition held at the Jekyll Island Convention Center.<\/p>\n<p>The President&#8217;s Award is presented annually at the conference and is awarded solely at the discretion of the President.\u00c2\u00a0 \u201cI chose Steve because more than anyone this past year, he helped me shape my presidency,\u201d said Kevin Britton, Vidalia Regional Airport Manager and President of the Georgia Airports Association.<\/p>\n<p>Brian is a Past President of the GAA and has spent many years as an airport director in Georgia. \u201cIt was a great honor and surprise to receive the President\u2019s Award from the Georgia Airports Association,\u201d said Brian. \u201cI have been a part of this organization for more than 20 years as an Airport Director and now as the manger for the state aviation program. The Association does great work advocating for the airports in our state.
