Stegman plans to join DIA on December 10, 2012 and will oversee all functions of DIA&rsquo;s Communications and Marketing office including media relations, marketing, social media, website development and internal communication resources.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Stegman comes to DIA from the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), where she&rsquo;s served nearly 17 years. She became the agency&rsquo;s public relations director in late 2001 and will be a familiar face to the media and public alike. Stegman said that DIA had always been among the top places to work that interested her. &quot;I did see myself moving to aviation,&quot; said Stegman. &quot;We have an aeronautics division in the department [CDOT] and it&#8217;s always been of great interest to me.&quot;<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Kim Day, Manager of Aviation for DIA, said they are very fortunate to have found someone of her caliber. &ldquo;She brings her depth of expertise within the transportation industry, she is a proven professional and she brings terrific pre-existing relationships with local media providers. &nbsp;We are very excited to welcome her to our team.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>&quot;I love transportation and the transition from highways to aviation seems really natural,&quot; said Stegman.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>&quot;Still, I know I have much to learn and I&#8217;m elated to be given the opportunity to join such a dynamic and innovative team.&quot;<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Prior to her career at CDOT, Stegman worked in radio promotions and as an on-air talent.
