{"id":10471,"date":"2018-05-13T01:15:44","date_gmt":"2018-05-13T01:15:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=10471"},"modified":"2018-05-13T01:15:44","modified_gmt":"2018-05-13T01:15:44","slug":"phoenix-sky-harbor-kicks-off-new-tour-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/arizona\/phoenix-sky-harbor-kicks-off-new-tour-program\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Phoenix Sky Harbor Kicks off New Tour Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Already feeling stressed about what activities you can do with your kids for summer break?\u00c2\u00a0 Getting ready for a trip and want to familiarize yourself with the Airport?\u00c2\u00a0 Or, have you been hearing about Phoenix Sky Harbor\u2019s improvements in the news and just want to check it out yourself?\u00c2\u00a0 Just in time for summer break, America\u2019s Friendliest Airport\u00ae is launching a fun free program for individuals, families, and groups alike.\u00c2\u00a0 Now, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will be offering pre-scheduled tours twice a month.<\/p>\n<p>The tours, which are conducted by volunteer Navigators, provide attendees with an Airport overview.\u00c2\u00a0 Participants will learn about Sky Harbor\u2019s fascinating history, its unique customer amenities, and upcoming projects which are aimed to further enhance the passenger experience. During the tour, attendees will gain a better understanding of Airport operations and ride the PHX Sky Train\u00ae.<\/p>\n<p>The free tours are open to adults and children and operate on the second Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m. and the fourth Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. Tours last approximately 90 minutes. The tours begin in Terminal 4 on Level 1 near the A &amp; D escalators. The tours are held in an air-conditioned environment, and attendees do not need to be traveling to participate. Parking is available in the Airport terminal garages and parking areas for $4 per hour.\u00c2\u00a0 Attendees can also take Valley Metro light rail to the 44th Street Station and easily connect to the PHX Sky Train\u00ae.<\/p>\n<p>To participate, individuals and groups must sign up in advance on the Airport\u2019s website. Plan on joining a tour to learn more about all that Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has to offer.
