Sam Brownback will highlight the dedication ceremony September 29, for the new Rooks County Regional Airport. The ceremony will begin at approximately 2 p.m. CDT.&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\\wp-content\\uploads\/Airport_logoedit.jpg\" width=\"199\" height=\"113\" align=\"right\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<div>The Rooks County Regional Airport is the first new airport constructed in the state of Kansas since 1989. The all-weather airport replaces individual turf runway airports that have long served the communities of Plainville and Stockton.<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>In addition to the Governor, representatives from the Kansas congressional delegation, Federal Aviation Administration, state, county and local agencies will participate in the dedication.
