PIER 7 HELIPORT AT BALTIMORE MARINE CENTERS ADDS BELFORT AWOS

Belfort Instrument Company has installed its DigiWxTM Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS) at the Pier 7 Heliport in Baltimore Maryland.

The AWOS AV provides real-time wind speed, wind direction, temperature, relative humidity, dew point, altimeter, visibility and cloud height on a graphical display, over a VHF frequency, and on the Internet www.digiwx-4md.com.
 
The Pier 7 Heliport is Maryland’s only public-use, full service heliport providing six landing pads, Jet A fuel service, parking, Pilot’s lounge, and hanger space. The heliport also offers a full line of services including charter on demand, medical transport, executive flight options, and aerial land surveys, as well as being available for special events and occasions. www.flyBHS.com   “The addition of the Belfort AWOS added one more measure of safety for our flight operations,” this according Jessie Bowling, Special Projects at Pier 7 Heliport, she continues, “the Belfort AWOS met our needs for a quality weather reporting system at our Pier 7 facility”
